About Shakespeare
Shakespeare was born in 1564 in a small village in Warwickshire, England. He married early, settling down with Anne Hathaway when he was just 18 years old. He worked as an actor and also owned some shares in a theatre company named Lord Chamberlain’s Men. Later, the name of this company would be changed to Kings Men. After about 20 years in theatre, Shakespeare retired and moved to a little village called Stratford. This is where he died in 1616. There is little information about Shakespeare’s private life which has generated a lot of speculation about many aspects of his life.
